Our Promise To The Places We Love
The Nomad Code:
Our promise to the places that host us:
A shared commitment to travelling with intent ensuring that the freedom we enjoy today supports, rather than compromises, the landscapes and communities we move through.
-
Before setting the brake, we ensure our presence is an asset, not a hindrance.
Verified Access
Ensure the location and approach are authorised by local regulations or the landowner.
Spatial Awareness
Park within a single designated space, maintaining a respectful distance from others and avoiding large or intrusive groupings.
Fluidity
Avoid overstaying in high-demand or limited-capacity areas, allowing continued access for others within the community.
-
We understand the difference between parking and camping, protecting both the environment and the reputation of the nomadic community.
The Low Impact Standard
Avoid camping behaviour (such as awnings, outdoor furniture or equipment) unless explicitly permitted.
Acoustic Respect
Maintain the natural quiet of each location. Keep music, devices and pets at a considerate level.
Private Integration
When staying on private land, introduce yourself where appropriate and seek permission before using external equipment.
-
Responsible travel requires careful management of the resources we use.
The Black & Grey Rule
Dispose of grey and black water only at designated facilities. Never discharge into the natural environment.
Waste Positive
Leave locations better than they were found. Remove all personal waste and where possible, help reduce existing litter.
Fire Ethics
No open fires or barbecues unless clearly authorised and compliant with local safety guidelines.
-
Our presence should contribute to the places we visit.
Local Supply Chain
Prioritise local producers, village shops, markets and independent businesses over national chains.
Direct Support
Contribute to the upkeep of local services and infrastructure where available, helping ensure long term access for the wider community.
